Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
We use cookies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and (with your permission) measure how our marketing performs. You're in control of the optional ones.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site puts on your device so it can remember things between visits — like being logged in, or which town you typed into the patch checker. Some are essential; others are optional.
2. The categories we use
- Purpose
- Sign-in, session, CSRF protection, load balancing. Without these the site doesn't work.
- Examples
- sb-*-auth-token, session cookies
- Consent
- Always on — no consent required.
- Purpose
- Remember preferences like your last-viewed town, sidebar collapsed state, or preferred view (kanban vs table).
- Examples
- patch.view, patch.trade-last
- Consent
- On only if you accept functional cookies.
- Purpose
- Aggregated, anonymised usage — which pages are useful, where the site errors.
- Examples
- _ga, analytics tokens
- Consent
- On only if you accept analytics.
- Purpose
- Conversion pixels for Meta and Google Ads so we can measure whether our marketing works.
- Examples
- _fbp, _gcl_au, conversion pixels
- Consent
- On only if you accept marketing.
3. Managing your choices
You can change your mind any time.
You can also clear cookies in your browser settings. Note that turning off strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in.
4. Third-party cookies
Where you interact with embedded content (Google Maps, a YouTube video, a Stripe checkout, etc.), those third parties may set their own cookies under their own terms. We don't control them.
